Abigail

Over the weekend I had the fortunate privilege of shooting Abigail and her twin brother Joshua.  This specific post is to highlight Abigail's beauty (Joshua's post to follow).  Abigail is one of the most beautiful 15year olds I think I have ever shot.  Abagail was so sweet, she didn't have a lot to say but by looking in her eyes and seeing her smile, her pure innocence and joy shined through in each fame taken.  In photography, it is said that a person's eyes are the window to their soul.  Abigail's soul is so beautiful... She is preparing to celebrate her 15th birthday and her family is preparing her a huge quincaera.  Abigail is autistic.  If you are moved by these pictures feel feel to make a donation to raise money for Autism Speaks by making a donation to the Furst Fotos team.  Raising money to find a cure.  follow the link that says Autism Speaks from http://www.furstfotos.com/

Sunset Portraits

The whole shooting into the sunset concept has got my attention!  My plan is to shoot at least 3-4 Sunset Portraits for the next month until I get it just perfect.  This is my second attempt.

Hana with Sunset

Today a close photographer friend (Chris Baylor Photography) gave me a lesson on how to shoot into the sunset.  Thank you Hana for modeling for me and thank you Charles for holding my flash :o)  I can't wait for the sun to go down so I can shoot again.

Today's Happy St. Paddy's Day Photo Shoots

First I shot my hadsome stylish son who got a little embarassed when his friends showed up, but he got past that pretty quick.  Here are just a couple pics from that shoot.

Then I was honored to be asked by a local band the "Last 16" to take a couple of shots at the Fox and Hound in Richardson.  Here are a few shots from that event:

A day at the Dallas Arboretum

Wow! I have lived in the DFW area almost all my life and have never been, until yesterday. Amazing! There were probably 100 or so profesional photographers there taking pictures. I had an amazing time with the Terry family. These are three of the cutestest most well behaved children I have ever seen. Joseph was somewhat of a challenge to photograph, he would be smiling then look at the camera and put on a straight face. It was a challenge to capture his gorgeous smile but we did it! Here are a few of some of my favorite shots. Needless to say I already have another shoot book at the Arboretum next weekend.  Life if good.

Blogging

What is the big deal about blogging. Everyone tells me that if a photographer wants to be successful they need a blog. I must be in trouble because I am not a good blogger. I have come a long way in my photography journey and am constantly learning. I am blessed to have such great mentors such as Michael Andrew (http://www.michaelthemaven.com/) and Chris Baylor . Here is some of the more recent stuff I have been doing...
